Photographs on Travel Day

Our A320 after arriving at SFO from Orange County. Shot taken in the connector from the United Domestic Terminal 3 to the International Terminal
another shot of the aircraft....
View at SFO as seen from the Red Carpet Club
Center of frame is the tail of the Lufthansa A380 we will use to fly to Frankfurt (Registration D-AIMD and christened Tokyo after the first destination that Lufthansa elected to serve using their new A380 in January 2011)

Taxiing out from the terminal at SFO to runway 28R as seen from the "Tail Cam"
Departure for our 10 hours and one minute flight to Frankfurt
Crossing the coastline and then a right hand turn to set us in the right direction.........
Off to the left - Stinson Beach can be clearly seen
 Richmond Bridge......
 Port Richmond.....

Economy class on the A380...our seats were at the bulkhead - left hand side of the aircraft
Another view of coach...(I'm getting way too old to fly cattle class although they did upgrade to the front cabin on the economy class deck) seats on this aircraft feel narrower and are fairly uncomfortable...but..the food was good! Lufthansa's Airbus A380s are in a three-class configuration accommodating 526 passengers. There is a completely new design First Class cabin and a Business Class cabin on the upper deck with Economy Class on the main deck.
Dawn breaking at 38,000 feet over the North Atlantic

A view in flight from the tail cam just as dawn was breaking....spectacular view of the aircraft in flight.
A few more shots...

Breakfast served and overhead the United Kingdom .....
