Rainy Sunday in Paris

We slept in today! Woke up to a rainy day in Paris so we decided that we would slow it all down and relax a bit. With aching backs and legs it was time to slow it down a bit...
We left the apartment at about 11AM and walked to Notre Dame and into the Marais to Place des Vosges. We then caught the Metro to Republic and walked on to Chez Ami Louis for lunch. Chez Louis is located at 32 Vert Bois in the Marias. What can I say, 32 rings a bell with me! I lived at 32 Waverley Road in the UK and my grandparents lived at 32 Sodener Strasse in Berlin so anything with 32 on it's door must be good! This restaurant is simply THE Bistro experience in Paris. Expensive but worth every euro. What a way to spend a rainy Sunday lunch time in Paris...I just can't think of anything more I'd want to do. Here's the simple fare for lunch today...
Wines:
1) 1999 Meursault Les Narvaux
2) 2000 Chateau Durfort-Vivens Grand Cru Margaux
Appetizer: Foie Gras
Main Course: Poulet with Potato Cake.
Dessert: Prunes and Armagnac.
Coffee
Simple and superb.....
We stumbled out into the rain and proceeded to Berthillon Ice Cream on Ile saint Louis and Sally had 1 scoop of Salted Caramel and one scoop of Almond ice cream and I had 1 scoop of Fig and 1 scoop of Pear - more delicious stuff! After more walking on Ile Saint Louis and in and around Notre Dame we called it a day. The wind was picking up and we were beat...great lunch with great wine and we were dragging! Came back to the apartment and relaxed. Off to Les Puces tomorrow (The Flea Market)....more tomorrow..calling it a day now. Good night.....I have put up pictures today - not all are titled and some are out of order but it's a project that will have to wait at this point.
